The last couple of years we’ve opted to cook dinner together and watch movies at home to celebrate Valentine’s day. It’s a nice low key way to connect and actually a change from our usual eating out habit. This year, I decided to try a more decadent menu of:
- Potato ice cream with crème fraiche and osetra caviar
- Fettucine with black truffle
- Sous vide duck with raspberry-cabernet reduction and black truffle mashed potatoes
- Molten chocolate cake with raspberry mint sauce

Everything turned out pretty delicious (though we are still experimenting with presentation)! Add some champagne, wine and fun movies to the mix, and it was definitely a memorable night!
