E-design has become all the rage, particularly during the pandemic. If you are still on the fence about going the virtual route, we have some tips on how to work with your designer and have an amazing experience.
TIP 1: “Don’t let fear of measuring your space stop you from going with e-design! Detailed and accurate measurements are key for making sure furniture actually fits in a space and for floorplans and elevation, but clients often get nervous about measuring a space themselves. However, there is plenty of help for this step such as apps that use a phone’s camera to scan a room and produce a floor plan with measurements. At Reena Ravi Design, we also send detailed guides on how and what to measure based on pictures of the space.”
TIP 2: “Can you use e-Design for more than just furniture layouts or decorating? Yes, e-Design is just virtual design, so depending on your designer, there can be different deliverables such as floorplans, renderings, elevations and different scopes of work. At Reena Ravi Design, we use e-Design to create built-in cabinetry designs or kitchen and bath design concepts that would be implemented by the client as well as furniture layouts and selections.”
